Editorial Design
¡Quién anda ahí! is a book published in 2021 that compiles the research work of biologists on the diversity of the Amazon rainforest in Peru, aiming to promote its conservation. It features a selection of 25 mammal species and seeks to spark curiosity and interest in the region's biodiversity among primary school students and teachers. The content is based on the findings of the "Camera Trap Vertebrate Monitoring" project, funded by the Research and Conservation Fund of the Miami Zoo. The Learning and Conservation Network (RAC), supported by National Geographic, also contributes to this initiative.
The design challenge was to create an engaging experience for children and teenagers by presenting factual information in a didactic and visually appealing way. The strategy focused on combining educational content with a visually stimulating and interactive presentation.
To achieve this, key elements were incorporated:
Vibrant Colors: to grab attention and create an energetic and fun atmosphere. These colors help to stimulate interest and make the content more appealing to children and teenagers, who are often drawn to visually stimulating environments.
Playful Icons: to adds an element of fun and to simplify complex information, making it easier to understand and remember.
